The rescue from Cusco to Lima, Peru

rescue

The challenge before us was the transfer of 540 Israelis from Cusco to Lima, so that they could join the group of Israelis who were staying in Lima and who were waiting for planes from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and El-Al to fly them to Israel.

Traffic on the streets of Cusco was restricted as a general curfew was imposed at night., On the day of the lockdown, in coordination with the Israeli Embassy in Lima and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Israel, the permits required for movement on the streets of the Israelis were produced when they presented a plane ticket and passport on their way to the airport, as well as additional permits for the special rescue flight.

Jacob and Eliezer Amsalem leased 4 large planes from the LATAM airline.
